For those of you who read the headline way too quickly, we’re talking about Eden Sher and NOT Ed Sheeran.
Ok, now that we have that straightened out, let’s talk Eden Sher who plays The Middle‘s hilarious, witty, happy, and enthusiastic middle child Sue.
The show itself is perhaps one of the most underrated comedies on TV, making Eden one of the hidden gems of network cable.
Much like her character, Eden has a bright personality, which can easily be spotted on her Instagram. Unlike other stars’ social media accounts, she actually looks, dare we say it, happy. Happy on set, happy with her friends, and all around happily enjoying life. She’s someone we could imagine actually being friends with in real life. (Eden, if you’re reading this, please hit us up asap).
In addition to The Middle, she’s also appeared in The O.C., Weeds and Veronica Mars.
But more importantly, she’s also in the process of writing a hilarious children’s book called The Emotionary, a dictionary for emotions that don’t quite have the words to describe them yet.
Even though it’s clear to us that Eden is an under-appreciated human being, it turns out even the girl herself has had a few self-doubting moments.
“I was 17 when I did the pilot, and I was just like self-loathing, insecure,” she told Co.Create. “But there has been a handful of moments where I have sort of realized that I’m not . . . it’s like you do something that shocks yourself and you’re like, ‘Oh, right, yeah, I’m a capable person.'”
Is it possible that this totally normal, hilarious and fun person is actually a celebrity? Well she certainly should be if she isn’t considered one already.
