Celine Dion pulled all of our heart strings when she cried onstage at the Billboard Music Awards recently, following the death of her husband René Angélil.
When accepting her Icon Award for Life Achievement at the award show, Celine started crying, saying, “I’m so sorry; I’m sorry for crying. I want to be so strong for my family and kids. I’m so sorry; I don’t want to cry in front of you.”

But the singer wants you to know that just she apologized for her tears, doesn’t mean she’s not a crazy strong lady, nor should that mean that it’s not ok for you to cry too. She appeared on Access Hollywood to clarify her remarks,
“I’m not saying that crying is wrong. It’s not what I want to say. It’s just that not crying I feel for myself more powerful, that I can be in charge and say, ‘You know what? This is not an end of anything. This is just a new beginning.'”
We can’t even begin to understand what she must be going through, especially with her husband and brother dying so close together. Celine, you never have to explain yourself to us!
