The Beatles break-up was hard on everyone (that’s an understatement), but it’s Paul who’s finally coming forward to discuss how the split led to a battle with his mental health.

“I was depressed at the time,” Paul said in an interview for BBC Radio 4’s Masterpieces series.

It shouldn’t come as a shock that Paul was struggling after the band’s split. He had to start his music career from square one and it left him feeling confused and uncertain, until one day he “was a bit far gone,” as he puts it.

He adds,

“It was difficult to know what to do after the Beatles. How do you follow that?”
