We literally cannot handle Kristen Bell’s awesomeness. After speaking out for sufferers of anxiety and mental illness, Kristen has just penned a new essay titled “Why Being Girly is a Good Thing” for Medium. And it’s just as amazing as it sounds.

In her essay, Kristen argues why all the stereotypically “weak” traits associated with being female are actually really great. “We are often called sensitive, emotional and non-confrontational. Hey ladies, guess what? These all go into the ‘pro’ column,” she writes.

But Kristen doesn’t want you to think that every woman should live up to these stereotypes, she just wants women to embrace what makes them women and not let being “girly” be something negative.

“Please don’t mistake this as me saying every woman fits into a certain box or that every female experience is shared. I wouldn’t dare belittle the species to that level of homogeneity. I am, however, saying that every woman brings something to the table that only she can. This ever-long journey toward equality demands that we, as females, actually embrace our inequalities and value them as superpowers.”

Uh, can we officially declare Kristen our new spirit animal because we want to grow up to be just like her!

It’s pretty cool that Kristen is presenting a different view on looking at gender inequality. We love all our gender non-conforming ladies out there, but it’s also sweet to embrace your natural womanliness, if that’s what you feel.

Would it be too cheesy if we ended on a “You go girl!” with this one?
